SEASONAL POSITIONS


Aquatics Instructor

Lifeguard Instructor will be responsible for attending Lifeguard Instructor School. The school is a vigorous training session that takes place off property and will span for a 3 day period. Instructor will be expected to pass the lifeguard course. Instructor will then be responsible for training up to 16 lifeguard trainees on their own in CPR/AED, First Aid, Water Rescue skills and 10/20. They will also be expected to test out and pass only those who have grasped the concept. Instructor will also be responsible for training lifeguards on the proper dispatch techniques and rules in the attractions at the water park. Applicants must be comfortable taking to large groups of people and the ability to complete lifeguard demonstrations including swimming, treading water, CPR, First Aid, Water Rescue Skills and 10/20 protection standard.

Aquatics Supervisor

Job duties will monitoring job performance and rotation of head guards/life guards and ride safety. Qualified applicants will report any hazards to the duty manager. Will handle any guest issues and/or complaints. Must be comfortable handling a rescue tube, two way radio, CPR mask, oxygen tank, and backboard. Will be conducting meetings, signing guards in and out, cleaning all areas, and performing closing procedures. Must be certified by Ellis and Associates. Applicant must be 18 or older, possess a high school diploma, and have head guard experience.

Auto Shop Helper

Job duties will include assisting vehicle mechanics with various jobs, jump starts, and flat tires. Qualified applicants must have good vehicle aptitude, must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid CA driver license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Bodysuit Character

Job Duties will include performing as a body/fur-suit character meeting, greeting, and entertaining our park guests with great enthusiasm and high animation. Interested applicants must be able to carry and wear 5 to 20 pounds of costume weight, be able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for 30-minute intervals, and be able to perform specific choreographed movements during parades. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, able to dance basic choreography and between 4'11" and 5'8" tall.

Buildings and Grounds Graveyard

Job Duties will include maintaining park’s cleanliness by hosing down areas, maintaining the grounds at night, cleaning offices and other duties assigned by Supervision. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and possess a valid CA driver license.

Candy Maker

Job duties will include: candy preparation such as measuring and weighing ingredients, cooking, packaging, stocking, quality control, safety, and cashiering. Interested applicants must be 18 years of age and older with a valid CA Drivers License. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work with high candy temperature. Full availability, basic arithmetic and writing skills are necessary.

Cash Control

Job Duties will include setting up till banks, accounting of park revenues and auditing. Interested applicants should have a good math aptitude, possess previous cash handling experience, be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a valid CA Driver License. Day, mid and graveyard shifts. Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds without assistance.

Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic

Job duties will include assisting guest and employees who are in need of medical attention as well as conducting facility inspections, safety audits, and emergency response on Park property. Position includes lifting and carrying persons weighing 150+ pounds, writing reports, and maintaining station and ambulance. Position also will include duties of Park Safety Representative that includes accident investigation, documentation and follow-up of Safety related concerns, and communication with various Park Management team members as needed. Position occasionally requires some clerical duties, including but not limited to: filing, distribution and typing. Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent must be able to read and write the English language and possess good verbal communication skills and good problem solving/reasoning abilities. Applicants must have current Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or Paramedic issued in the State of California (or equivalent National Registry certification), current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification and have a valid CA driver’s license.

Employee Services Office Trainee

Job duties will include being responsible for all functions and tasks relating to the employee services office, which encompasses all aspects of seasonal team members’ domestic and international employment matters. Will be clocking team member in and out, distributing paychecks, etc. Interested applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid CA driver License. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, have strong teamwork skills and ability to work productively across various departments. Must be computer proficient with Microsoft products. Must be able to work early morning, nights, weekends and holidays.

Food Service

Job duties will include greeting guests at restaurant, taking guest’s orders, operating a cash register, operating soda dispenser, re-filling condiments’ dispenser, and assisting guests with anything they request. Applicants will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their work station and surrounding area. Interested applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have a friendly, outgoing personality.

Food Warehouse

Job duties will include receiving and issuing food products; pulling and delivering orders, stocking and stacking procedures. Applicants will be answering incoming phone calls and maintaining regular housekeeping. Qualified applicants will be delivering and stocking food in all locations in the park and making sure vehicles are maintained on a regular basis. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid CA driver License.

Games Attendant

Job duties will include initiating guest interactions; handling questions, complaints and request for assistance; handling multiple cash transactions; cleaning; and controlling game operations. Applicants must be outgoing and friendly. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Guest Relations

Job duties will include: assisting guests with comments and complaints, handling lost and found items and/or children, tearing/taking guest tickets, scanning season passes, answering busy phone lines, and communication over the park base unit. The ideal candidate for this position will interact well with others, communicate in a professional manner, and have above average writing and verbal skills. Applicants must be at last 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Human Resources Generalist

Job duties will include, but are not limited to: answering phones, Scheduling interviews, assisting applicants, fielding various Human Resource questions, filing, assisting with new hire processing, interviewing applicants according to EEOC and ADA guidelines, and  hiring new employees. Applicants for this position must possess good verbal and written skills, have a professional demeanor, be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, be highly organized, be independent and self-motivated. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid CA Driver License. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Justice League Character

Job Duties will include performing as a character meeting, greeting, and entertaining our park guests with great enthusiasm and high animation. Interested applicants must fit Justice League Character body type and must be able to work in crowds, heat, and cold for 30-minute intervals, and be able to perform specific choreographed movements during parades. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Women: 5'10" to 5'11", muscular/fit build. Men: 5'6" to 6'5", muscular/athletic build.

Lifeguard

Upon successful completion of the Ellis &Associates Lifeguard Training Class, candidates will be eligible to operate pools and waterslides, apply first aid, CPR and water rescue skills when needed. Will also be responsible for maintaining park cleanliness. Candidates should have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to interact well with others in a professional manner and complete necessary reports. Must be at least 16 years of age and be able to work weekdays during August.

Loss Prevention Investigator

Job duties will include but are not limited to conducting interviews, investigations and management reviews relating to employee dishonesty, conduct investigations concerning external loss issues, complete written reports for company and law enforcement use, answer and respond to phone calls made to Loss Prevention, assist in the maintenance and installation of park closed-circuit TV systems, conduct after-hours surveillance, assist LP management and Supervision with other assigned duties as needed and appear in court as needed. All applicants must have strong observation, verbal, and written skills. Prior Loss Prevention, Security, Supervisory, or retail experience is a plus, but not required. Qualified applicants should be at least 18 years of age, possess a CA driver license, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates will also be required to pass an in-depth background check along with a pre-employment drug screening.  Bilingual and college credit are preferred, but not required.

Main Gate

Job duties will include greeting guests as they enter the parking lot and distributing promotional literature, selling tickets to guests, greeting guests as they enter the park and checking guest tickets for accuracy. Applicants will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their work station and surrounding area. Interested applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Applicants must have a friendly, outgoing personality.

Merchandise

Job duties will include greeting guests as they enter the store, assisting the with any questions or purchases they would like to make, operating a cash register, and keeping store clean and well stocked. Applicants will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their work station and surrounding area. Interested applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have a friendly, outgoing personality.

Metal Detector Officer

Job duties will include processing guests through the metal detectors, performing hand-held metal detector screenings, patrolling ride attraction lines, interacting with guests concerning metal detector issues and queue line situations and writing reports and recording pertinent information. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid CA driver license. Opportunities for rapid promotions are available for highly motivated self starters. Must meet department requirements.

Operations Guest Relations

Job duties will include assisting guests with comments and complaints; answering phone lines; and handling Guest lost/found items and reports. Guest Relations Specialists will be empowered to solve guest problems, and ensure the delivery of World Class Guest Service. This position requires excellent communications skills, a professional, friendly demeanor, and above average writing and verbal skills. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior theme park and/or customer service is preferred, but not required.  

Parking Lot

Direct traffic into lot, set up parking cones, operate the kennel, crowd control for tram stops, assisting guests crossing the street, watch and assist guest who board the tram, ensure all riding on the tram are safe, saying appropriate spiel, operating the tram, maintaining safety in the tram. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a CA Driver License.

Park Service Attendant

Job Duties will include maintaining cleanliness of all park restroom facilities, keeping counters dry, mopping bathroom floors, cleaning bathroom mirrors and keeping all bathrooms well stocked and organized. All applicants must be 18 years of age.

Picnic Coordinator

Support and assist Full-Time staff in daily Sales Department operations. Job duties will include; answering phones, processing ticket/coupon orders, and general office duties. Also responsible for coordinating Picnics and Special Events. Interested applicants should have general office experience, excellent phone skills, outgoing personality, be computer literate and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess a valid CA drivers license and be able to work a variety of shifts; including weekends and private parties.

Rentals

Job duties will include renting lockers and/or inner tubes out for guests, maintain inner tubes and lockers, handing out Lifejackets to children, ringing up transaction on cash register, receiving money, giving change, completing cashier paperwork, assisting guests with any questions. Must be at least 16 years of age and be able to work weekdays during August.

Ride Operator

Job duties will include greeting guests as they enter a ride, checking the safety restraints, giving clear signal to control panel, and observing guest riding for any violations. Applicants will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of their work station and surrounding area. Interested applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have a friendly, outgoing personality.

Seamstress

Job duties will include fitting and filing rack number requirements, fitting and dressing all unusual sizes, repairing and mending of all garments such as patches, elastic replacement, and zipper repair. Determine most efficient construction method and complete garment construction. Applicants must be able to push/pull and carry up to 50 lbs. without difficulty, be at least 18 years of age possess a high school diploma or equivalent and should have knowledge of a power machine, and industrial sewing experience. 

Seasonal Lube Crew

Job duties will include Lube the coaster machinery, and steam clean ride equipment. Full availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid CA driver’s license.

Seasonal Warehouse

Job duties will include receiving, stocking, locating, picking, and distributing parts, supplies, gifts, and souvenirs for the park from outside vendors. Will also issue and receive power and hand tools to Park employees, load and unload trucks using all kinds of material handling equipment, match up paperwork with purchase orders and receive memos and forward to accounting. Will pick up and deliver USPS, parts, supplies, gifts and souvenirs and process, sort, distribute interoffice, FedEx and USPS mail and packages to various company offices, and departments using company vehicles. Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid CA Driver License. One-year experience in a related field is required.

Season Pass Processor

Job duties will include working in Ticket Will Call, Lost and Found, and Season Pass Processing offices; assisting guests with comments and complaints; and answering phone lines. Mainly, will be taking guest photos and using a computer to process season passes. The ideal candidate for this position will interact well with others, communicate in a professional manner, and have above average writing and verbal skills. Applicants must be at last 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent

Survey Taker

Job duties will include collecting survey data by interviewing park guests. Greeting and interviewing guests as they enter the park. Conducting research projects for the marketing department. Qualified applicants will be assisting guests with any questions and assisting goals when needed. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ticket Office Clerk

Job duties will include replenishing ticket boxes, data entry of ticket orders, answering telephones, counting returned tickets, and selling employee tickets and season passes. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be able to lift/push/carry up to 30 lbs.

Trainer

Job duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting in the general training of new employees, including all logistics of our orientation programs, answering phones, scheduling interviews, assisting applicants, fielding various Human Resource questions, typing, filing and assisting with new hire processing, interviewing applicants according to EEOC and ADA guidelines. Applicants for this position must possess good verbal and written skills, have a professional demeanor, be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, be highly organized, be independent and self-motivated, and possess excellent stand-up delivery skills. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid CA Driver License. Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Usher

Job duties will include but are not limited to; Elevating Friendly Service using the Speak First initiative to welcome guests to our theatres and directing them to their seats. Set-up of the theater before a performance. Housekeeping of theater, answering questions and assisting guests. Priority is to ensure guest safety in a Proactively Friendly manner when entering and exiting a theater and maintaining a clean and safe facility.

Wardrobe Attendant

This position consists of working with laundry, issuing costumes, placing costumes of racks, and hanging the costumes on hangers. Using the engraver to make nametags and some filing will be required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Water Treatment Technician

Job duties will include but are not limited to; maintaining all water systems in Six Flags
Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor, maintaining proper Chemical levels in all water systems, maintaining high rate sand filter, ordering and taking inventory of all chemicals. Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid CA drivers license, high school diploma or equivalent, current class II (swimming pools) license from the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services, working knowledge of health department codes and regulations. Applicants must also be able to work weekends, holidays and maintain accurate written reports.
