    Aquatics: Water Attendant

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: Obtain certification for Attendant and Operator Shallow Water Guard positions on all rides within Hurricane Harbor and Riptide Bay. Provide Guest Service to our Guest by answering questions and resolving Guest Complaints. Communicate Safety policies to the Guest. Enforce all rider restrictions including monitoring and measuring for height restrictions. Assist with pairing up of single riders and proper grouping techniques to ensure greater capacity. Monitor and enforce Park line jumping policy. Clean ride units and areas as needed. Assist with downtime situations and emergency unloading, if ride cannot be started. Watch ride and host Guests waiting during the ride cycle. Assist Guests as they board/exit the ride. Assist Guests in and out of tubes as necessary. Operate PA system and spiel buttons and visually monitor ride during operation and be prepared to use the E-stop during critical situations. Assist with any projects or tasks issued by members of Full Time Management.
    Skill Requirements: Be able to communicate proper hand signals as called for during operation. Complete the attraction attendant certification tests with 90% proficiency. Attend required Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training Program, HR Discovery, Aquatics Department Training and Attraction Training. Complete regular in-service training including water rescue techniques, conditioning, basic first aid and CPR skills.

    Admissions: Guest Services

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: Answer all calls in a polite and informative manner. Assist Guests with general Park information and special needs. When necessary, follow up by contracting the Guest with a return phone call. Become familiar with all Park Policies and be able to communicate this information to a Guest. Assist Guests with coupon inquiries, ticket prices, and Season Pass questions. Observe strict confidentiality regarding unique situations. Provide Guests with standardized information at the Park in a professional and courteous manner.  If necessary, offer additional information to the Guest. Research Guest situations if necessary in order to fully respond to the Guest’s concerns. Attend required H.R. Orientation, Admissions Department Training, and unit specific trainings.     Admissions: Season Pass Processer

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: Greet the Guests and assist the Guests with any questions and/or directional assistance while hosting in a friendly and courteous manner. Operate computer imaging system to produce quality ID cards. Enter sales transactions into the cash registers for purchases and upgrades.  Make change, verifying ID and presenting receipts. Cashiers must maintain strict accountability of media (Ex. Cash, charge slips and parking passes.) Use a cash register to ring Ticket Sales and Season Pass transactions (cash/credit card), make change and provide media to Guests. Count and maintain accountability of all processed passes for the day. Maintain a clean workspace and assist in keeping the Admissions area and all Park areas clean. Attend required H.R. Orientation, Admissions Department Training and unit specific trainings. Assist with other Admissions Department functions as directed by management. Complete all paperwork for tracking and accounting for in-part sales.  Ensure all Season Pass Vouchers are properly completed prior to processing. Assist with Ticket Sales and Ticket Taking at the Park’s main entrance. Maintain clear work area.

    Admissions: Market Research

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: Systematically approach Guests to participate in a survey and then verbally begin asking them the survey questions. Accurately input responses into the hand-held micro-computer (ATS). Maintain the integrity of the research database by accurately recording Guest responses, follow proper sampling methods, and meet/exceed daily quotas. Keep surveying area/Park clean by picking up trash and contacting the appropriate individual to assist with large messes. Proactively approach Guests to offer assistance, recommendations, or conversation. Utilize the various Park information sources to stay updated on daily activities and operational information needed to assist our Guests. Assist with special research projects requested by Six Flags Theme Parks, Inc. Complete Market Research certification tests with passing score. Attend required H.R.     Aquatics: Lifeguard II

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: Provide safe and efficient operation of attractions in Hurricane Harbor including attractions with moving water and water depths of no more than 4 feet. Prevent accidents by constantly observing the zone of protection within the confines of the 10/20 standard Respond to all aquatic emergencies and resolve problem with professional lifeguard skills and techniques Complete regular in-service training including water rescue techniques, conditioning, basic first aid and CPR skills. Where automated spiels are not used, give a safety spiel via PA system when necessary.

    Clerical/Office Support Staff: Food Service Clerk

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: GENERAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION:  Answering all phone calls to the department office, answering questions or concerns from cast members and Guests, taking messages and referring questions to the proper individuals as required, typing memos and documents as needed and photocopying documents as required. PARK PAGING:  Transmitting, receiving and logging all pages to mobile, In-Park supervisors to compliment the department communication process. LABOR TRACKING:  Distributing and tracking all extra staff as needed by park units.  Tracking and follow-up to guarantee that all minor team members are working their scheduled shifts and taking their breaks at the correct times, by making reminder calls to the unit.  Making sure all break and labor policies are followed within the department and by all of its team members. TEAM MEMBER DOCUMENTATION:  Tracking and documenting all attendance policy violations and issuing the appropriate discipline for these violations.  Documenting all performance evaluation forms and action in SLTS.  Updating team member records immediately and communicating the progress to the team member’s supervisor on a timely basis. TEAM RELATIONS:  Serving as a liaison and communication source between the department and its team.  Answering questions or referring them to a Full-Time Supervisor.  Addressing all team needs in a timely and friendly manner. TRAINING:  Working with teams and teaching the procedures for completing documents required by the park or department.  Developing the seasonal management staff with regards to policies on scheduling, documentation and all other general office functions. FOOD INVENTORY SYSTEM:  Receiving, entering, printing all data required to fill all locations request on Special Orders (Hot Shots) that interns utilizes Eatec.  Tracking and follow-up with the Food Service Warehouse to insure that all products requested are sent in a timely manner. FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SYSTEM:  Receiving, entering, printing all data required to fill all location requests on Facility maintenance that intern utilizes the DFR/Work Order programs.  Tracking and follow-up with the Maintenance department to insure that any maintenance needs checked in a timely manner. UNIT MAIL:   Insuring that all management receives everything on a daily basis that is needed to operate administratively. Other tasks may be assigned by management as business dictates
    Skill Requirements: Average to excellent literacy and math skills for Guest/Team Member interaction. Typing, computer knowledge, communication and writing skills are needed to meet the position requirement. Strong verbal and written communication. Previous office or comparable administrative experience.  Knowledge of the park is a plus, but not required. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to organize tasks and manage tasks.

Complete safety ride audits at direction of safety staff.
    Skill Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED. Licensure and Certification: Current Illinois or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician-Basic License, Current American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR/AED Certification, Valid Illinois or Wisconsin Driver’s License, Obtain and maintain a valid Park Vehicle Operator’s Permit. Basic knowledge of computers and copiers. Knowledge of, and ability to use, all BLS equipment used in the park (pulse oximeter, glucometer, splints, stair chair, etc).
    Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs; Ability to push and pull up to 150 lbs. Occasional running, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and crawling. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat and high levels of humidity and rain, occasionally for extended periods of time. Ability to work occasionally in confined spaces and from high elevations.

    Food Service: Team Member

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Description: FOOD PREPARATION:  Requires regular food preparation, and the use of standard kitchen utensils; including whisks, spoons, spoodles, ladels, and others.  Operational duties would include, but are not limited to fry scooping, sandwich preparation, cart operation and operation of various pieces of food preparation equipment. Utilize thermometers to frequently test the internal temperatures of product. RESTAURANT CLEANLINESS:  Maintain work locations safely and within Health Department Guidelines.  Perform cleaning duties which require standing, stooping, crouching, and twisting to assure a complete cleaning job.  Cleaning utensils include, but are not limited to, scratch pads, towels, brooms, mops and standard labeled cleaning chemicals. Keeping the Front Line (serving area) free of debris and sanitized. FOOD SERVING:  Assisting in product assembly and delivery to guest. Ensuing that working location has all products that are needed to service the guests. Reporting to Lead or Supervisor if a product is missing or unable to sell. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:  Positive interaction with Guests and fellow employees, promoting a friendly, service environment, attending to Guests’ needs in a proactive manner.     Description: Schedules in SLTS: Responsible for imputing team members’ schedules into SLTS within assigned time frame; keeping to the templates and within budget. Makes changes to schedules as requested by Full Time management. Ensure that all sections are within their daily allotted budget. Must ensure that all Work and Travel Program Students are given hours based on contract signed. Termination Summary Forms: Meet with team members on their last day to assist them in filling out the Termination Summary and Clear Out Card. Utilizing the information given to update files in SLTS. Ensure that the proper information is included and accurate. Must communicate with upper management of any termination summaries completed. Must ensure all Terminated Team Members are removed from HRIS within assigned deadline. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:  Positive interaction with fellow employees, promoting a friendly, service environment, attending to Team Members’ schedule needs, resolving schedule conflicts for needed dates.     Description: Leading and motivating team in a specific Food Service stand to achieve financial and service goals.  Delegating duties to Team Members for effective service results and team development.  Serve quality products within Food Safety and Sanitation Guidelines.  Educate staff on park and department policies and follow-up with team members to guarantee consistent enforcement.  Train team members to meet the requirements of their position with an emphasis on Guest Service standards.  Prepare and serve food and beverages to our guests in a safe and efficient manner.  Interact with Guests and follow all Guest Service Standards.  Handle cash transactions accurately.  Maintain a clean and neat restaurant and work area. Manage all operational factors of a specific Food Service location. Wiping down benches in midways and streets as necessary. Using a pan and broom, walking your assigned area and sweeping up trash. Picking up (by hand) any trash than cannot be swept up. Monitor trashcan and bench locations.  Move to proper location when necessary. Assist with any other cleaning projects.
