    Position Type: Seasonal
    Job Summary: Perform in show production and act as a Park Ambassador to entertain Guests.  Must enforce all Park policies and procedures, while maintaining Guest Satisfaction and the profitability of the company.
    Job Duties: Portray characters of DC Comics, Warner Bros. and Six Flags. Dance and act in shows; perform in meet and greets with Guests. Escort characters, as needed. Other duties as requested.
    Minimum Qualifications: Dancing and acting experience preferred. Must meet physical acting requirements as defined by DC Comics, Six Flags, and/or Warner Bros. Must have strong acting personality and presence. Must be able to move and dance in a hot costume for designated periods of time. Must not be claustrophobic.

    Entertainment: Explorer Guide

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Job Summary: Provide great Guest Service by educating and entertaining our Guests about our animals. It is a great start for those holding an interest in the animal field (Note: This position does not include hands on work with Park animals).
    Job Duties: Educate and entertain Guests about our animals. Speak on and off microphone regarding the animals and exhibits. Maintain cleanliness of the Guest side of all exhibits. Enforce all Park policies and procedures. Monitor exhibits closely to ensure safety of animals and Guests. Communicate any hazards to leads, supervisors, and/or trainers as needed.Other duties as requested.
    Minimum Qualifications: Strong public speaking skills and outgoing personality required. Must not be afraid of animals (exhibits include: dolphins, penguins, seals, walruses, sharks, stingrays, big cats, butterflies, and alligators). Ability to memorize animal facts and exhibit procedures. Able to maintain cleanliness of Guest side of all exhibits. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to work indoors in dim lighting and high humidity. Must be able to walk to different exhibits in a timely manner. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and lift up to 40 lbs.

    Entertainment Host / Hostess

    Job Summary: Provide crowd control for shows and events, clean stadiums, and provide great Guest Service.
    Job Duties:  Crowd and audience control. Welcoming and seating Guests at shows. Open and close stadiums for the shows. Clean stadiums before and after shows.     Food Services Host / Hostess

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Job Summary: The Food Service department has various positions including: cooks, cashiers and prep.  In each position, one must provide excellent Guest service in the fastest and safest manner.  Responsible for the cleanliness of outdoor and indoor seating areas.
    Job Duties:  Regular food preparation and the use of various pieces of equipment, including fry vats, flat grills, steam tables, steam kettles, pizza ovens, bun toasters, meat slicers, electric mixers and steamers; also involves using various kitchen utensils, such as tongs, spatulas, knives, can openers and kitchen scissors. Operate a cash register. Ensure all transactions are accurately and efficiently made without sacrificing courtesy to our Guests while cashiering. Know the prices of the food items sold in units. Follow cash handling procedures as outlined by Cash Control and the Food Service departments. Prepare product for sale, including assembling, packaging and presentation. Take food orders from park Guests. Prepare food in accordance with food service specifications with attention to quality and portion. Clean all areas assigned, including equipment, counters, floors, tables, chairs, etc. Ensure that all spills are cleaned up immediately (clean as you go!). Adhere to the State Department health regulations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Other duties as requested.

    Games and Attractions Host / Hostess

    Job Summary: Promote games to Guests, encourage players, explain rules and procedures.  Make change and collect money from the Guests.  Provide props and award prizes to winners, while keeping each game stocked with merchandise and game props.  Comply with all Fire and Safety responsibilities, policies and procedures.  Keep games area clean and orderly.  Communicate and entertain while providing park information to Guests.
    Job Duties: Offer World Class Guest Service. Generate sales at various game locations: line games, race games, center games, rentals, and attractions. Meet and/or exceed daily goal of increasing revenue of assigned unit(s), while ensuring proper control of stock and operating supplies. Demonstrate knowledge of each assigned unit including costs to play, rules and restrictions, prize levels, and unit-specific salesmanship technique. Make change and handle cash transactions with an apron or cash register. Communicate and entertain Guests on a one-on-one basis and in groups by: maintaining and appropriate ready stance for assigned location; greeting Guests; using microphone to promote and sell; awarding prizes and congratulating winners; and asking Guests to play again, while up-selling products.

Shoppers work in teams and are required to portray themselves as guests at all times. After receiving their assignments, marked money, cell phones and pagers from the Resource Protection Department agent in charge, shoppers will spend the majority of their shift making observations and passing marked money at both assigned and random locations.  At the conclusion of their shift, shoppers will turn their equipment and currency back to the agent in charge while finalizing written documentation of each shop performed.     Park Services Host / Hostess

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Job Summary: Provide World Class Guest Service.  Maintain a clean environment for Guests throughout entire shift.  Transport trash from the trash bins to the park compactor areas and separate as necessary to adhere with recycling rules.  Wipe down all trash receptacles, table tops, and counters in assigned sections.
    Job Duties: Provide superior Guest Service, including greeting and answering questions. Identify and react to detailed areas, both behind scenes and in Guest areas, in order to maintain a clean and safe environment. Search for and remove trash, cigarette butts, debris, and graffiti. Sweep park streets, walkways, and attraction areas with a broom and dustpan. Wipe down all trash receptacles, table tops, and counters. Prepare restrooms daily for park operation and maintain throughout the day.
    Minimum Qualifications: Outgoing personalities desired. Highly detail-oriented when searching for trash and debris. Must have ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather.
    Working Conditions: Work is both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.  Lighting is both natural and artificial.  Equipment used includes high-pressure hoses, brooms, tractors, forklifts, water trucks, tilt carts, shovels, vacuums, ladders and dustpans.  Physical demands include standing, stooping, bending, walking, reaching, twisting, and lifting.  Hours and days could be any within a seven (7) day period.  The highly visible days to work would be on weekends and holidays.  The time depends on the opening and closing of the park.  Required contacts would be with guests and co-workers.

    Job Summary: Assist Guests in selecting and purchasing merchandise throughout the Park.  Responsible for stocking and cleaning the store after cashing out.
    Job Duties: Operate a cash register. Knowledge of cash register operations to know when to ask for assistance with problems. Expedite sales, as not to hold up a Guest. Maintain a friendly rapport with Guests. Report any infraction of policy and/or unsafe act or condition. Restock and reorganize displays as needed. Provide positive interaction with other merchandise Team Members and Guests, promoting a "service" atmosphere, and resolve Guest complaints as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work location and help keep the Park clean. Be aware of and maintain supplies needed to perform job duties, such as bags, staples, register tapes, credit card forms, etc. Assist in stocking and pricing of merchandise. Alert management if stock level is too low or too high. Be alert for shoplifters, and follow proper procedures. Awareness of all park map locations, restrooms, food vendors, etc. in order to answer Guest questions. Adhere to all Six Flags, departmental and safety policies and procedures.     Ride Operator

    Position Type: Seasonal
    Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining a safe, daily operation of a given ride in any area.  Comply with all Six Flags Discovery Kingdom policies and procedures.  Assist Guests on and of the attraction.  Operate ride in a safe manner, consistent with park operating procedures.  Ensure that all aspects of the ride cycle comply with normal safety procedures.  Maintain a clean and safe work environment for Guests and Team Members.
    Job Duties: Operate rides in a safe manner, consistent with Six Flags and departmental policies and procedures. After being properly certified, load and unload guests onto your ride. After being properly certified, operate a panel for your particular ride. Check restraint devices to ensure they have been activated and are in proper working order. After being given the "okay" from other Team Members at your ride, operate ride panel by pushing correct buttons to set the ride in motion. Provide positive interaction with other Team Members and Guests, promoting a "service" atmosphere, and resolve Guest complaints as needed. Keep work area and Theme Park clean. Other duties as requested.

    Job Summary: Responsible for the protection of Guests, Team Members, and the assets of the Park, including responding to emergencies and enforcing Park policy.
    Job Duties: Perform inspections of all items brought into the Park. Provide exceptional Guest Service. Respond to requests for assistance throughout the property. Enforce the rules and policies of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, State Laws, County and City Ordinances. Make Arrests and/or testify in court.
    Minimum Qualifications: Valid California Driver's License required. California or Proprietary Security Officer Guard Card is preferred. Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively. Enjoys working with the public and solving problems. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to interview people and write reports is desired. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access is beneficial.
